Frequently asked questions.
No. The device works purely in read mode (read-only) via the existing diagnostic/CAN port. It writes nothing to the ECU, codes nothing and changes no control-unit parameters. It sits in the air vent and can be removed at any time.
The device only reads data and doesn't modify the vehicle. Please note: our products have no ABE, no E-mark and no ECE approval. You are responsible for checking whether installation is permitted in your country – we cannot guarantee passing the §57a, MOT/TÜV or emissions test.
There's only read access to the diagnostic port and no coding, so the vehicle stays technically unchanged. That said, any installation can in principle affect the manufacturer's warranty – we recommend checking with your BMW dealer beforehand.
Currently E9X (3 Series: E90/E91/E92/E93, 2005–2013) and E6X (5/6 Series: E60/E61/E63/E64, 2003–2010) – each as a round and a square display. More series to follow. Please check compatibility before ordering; not sure? Send us your year and model.
No. The display works independently in the vehicle – no app, no paired phone and no Bluetooth connection needed.

The idea came out of frustration: modern BMW engines provide tons of interesting data – but you barely see any of it in the cockpit. That's exactly what I wanted to change: real-time values in factory look, without ugly add-on gauges and without modifying the vehicle.
Every device is hand-assembled, tested and only then shipped – by me, in Austria. If you have a question, you talk directly to the person who built your display – not an anonymous support team.
